| Wow, God is Good. Zodiacs had one of their busiest day in a long time. We competed at three (3) meets on Saturday, January 21, 2012 and were successful in all three (3). First, the girls competed in the prestigious Colgate Women Games semi-finals. We had ten (10) girls competed in the semi-finals and seven (7) girls qualified for finals at Madison Square Garden. Each girl will get a Colgate finalist sweat suit and a lovely trophy. At the finals, they will compete for the education grant of $1,000, $500. or $250. Zodiacs have the following girls competing in the 55 meter hurdles finals: Shawneese Walker, Lisha Mckenzie, Jasymn Phillips and Jaelah Eargle. Aaliyah Wajid ran an outstanding 5 minutes and 3 seconds in the 1500 meter run, Kendra Todd in the 55 meter race and Pearl Webster in the Shot Put. Zodiacs coaches did an excellent job to prepare the girls in different events to compete at such high levels. After the meet, Zodiacs Friends and Family celebrate at Dave and Buster's restaurant. |
